A new kind of mojito

A lemongrass-mint simple syrup turns your mojito a bit to the east.

Chopped lemongrass.

Fresh mint.

Chop the lemongrass and crush it a bit with the blade of your knife.  Toss the mint and lemongrass in a pan with equal parts sugar and water.  Heat to a simmer, turn off heat and let steep for 30 minutes.  Strain and cool.  Store in the refrigerator.  Imbibe.
